"Wandered around Blaine at 2pm trying to find something open and after 3 stops at closed establishments (don't folks eat a late lunch around here?), I decided to try this place. I'm the only guest, which can be a concern, however I was very impressed. Fast service (being the only one in there, to be expected eh?), nice people too, and excellent food. I ordered the Lamb Korma, melt in your mouth tender and delicious! The interior was vibing like a '70s diner but immaculate new and clean. Give them a try, you are welcome."
"One of the best Indian food experiences I've had in the US! Every dish was a highlight, from the flavorful masala chai and crispy samosas to the amazing daal tadka. The rice was perfectly cooked, and even the mouth freshener fennel seed mixture left a lasting impression. The location is fantastic, with lots of sunlight and a bright ambiance. It's conveniently walking distance from Peace Arch Park. A special shoutout to Aanchal, who was incredibly sweet and made us feel right at home. My taste buds and heart are both happy! Highly recommend."
"What an amazing restaurant... even though it is still in soft opening, the staff are kind and accommodating (they made me an off menu salty lassi!) and the menu is delightfully eclectic with choices from across the Subcontinent. Though it wasn't on the copy of the menu I got, I was even able to order a dosa! Each dish we ordered was fantastic. I highly recommend the Dosa and the Chili Paneer. The menu needs to be a little more complete with English descriptions of the dishes and the restaurant decor can become more Indian, but the food is fantastic!!!"
"I visited Namaste for dinner shortly after I heard they were open. I read online that they opened before they planned to because so many people were asking or coming to their door. Knowing that they opened earlier than anticipated helps a lot. I will certainly be back to try their food again. The food was not the best I've had, but was still good. It didn't have the spice level I requested or the depth of flavor I'm used to, but I think the food was off a bit due to how many people came in all at once and how unprepared the staff is yet. We ordered the goat curry, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. Next time I will try the samosas and a few things I saw others try in their reviews. I may try the same dinner entrée again though just to see how it is compared to the first time. It's clearly a family run restaurant and I have A LOT of grace for them just after opening and bringing a new style of dining establishment to Blaine. I think the food will improve to an excellent level once they have their routine down and can handle the dinner rush. I ranked service high because you could tell they were really trying their best. The wait was long for the food and boxes. We could see from the very beginning though that it would be a long wait, so we felt very patient the whole way through our meal. Every new establishment is going to have some issues in the beginning and we were ok with that. Service was very friendly though and even though I'm not sure, I think they gave us a discount on our meal because they didn't charge as much as I anticipated it would be. Atmosphere is ok. I like the quaint diner vibe of the place, but I'd love to hear Indian music playing. I think that will go a long way to improving the space. Just like any business though, improvements come with time! I will be sure to give it another try in a month or two."
"New Indian restaurant in Blaine. OMG! Come and try the Chili Chicken. This is a new dish to me and it was amazing. Had the Idli Sambhar out of curiosity. Was also good but easily the chili chicken was the Star of the show. The samosas were on point. The wife had those. Please try this place out. Sorry I didn't take pictures of the food. Was kind of an after thought. Oh and the mango Lassi was very refreshing."
