Reviews of Buffalo Exchange
"Rude staff that doesn't care one iota about customer service nor do they offer much, if anything, for brand new designer labels! They are very picky and say they take vintage clothes but when I bring in vintage pieces they just make snarky comments about them, same as they do regarding designer pieces! I waited for a good 30-40 minutes to be helped, only to be scoffed at and my clothing, which most of it was brand new, was rudely handled and remarks were very rude as well! I was told that my items were not in style and very little was bought. The items they did buy were really ugly and no one I know would wear them, much less buy them! They are overpriced, extremely rude, and don't pay even a quarter of someting's worth! If I wasn't so desperate for cash, I wouldn't waste my time going in there at all! It took me an hour and a half when it was all said and done! Perhaps the employees should stop gossiping with each other and actually learn something about fashion and should learn how to treat their customers, instead of looking down their noses at you! I don't need some girl that's younger than my children treating me with disdain and disrespect! Very inconsiderate and unacceptable behavior for anyone working in customer service to have!"
"Lots of racks and shelves packed with a variety of brands for both women and men. Clothing, accessories and even new giftware. Shop for fashionable finds or bring in your quality castoffs for others to buy. 50% given if you opt for store credit, or 25% if you take cash. Staff is friendly. On street, paid parking. Hours 11-7."
"I was surprised. By no means was I expecting to get my money back for what I paid when the items were brand new. But the 50% of retail value they promised in person would have been nice. I brought a trash bag full of name brand items. The Athleta tops were $100 each, shoes $150+ each. The bag was full of similar items like Lululemon in fantastic condition. And they’re in demand for the upcoming season. She only wanted to give me $40 store credit. Or $20 cash for the whole bag. I kindly asked for all of the items back and wished them a good day. The man in front of me got $80 for a couple jackets. I hope they were Prada or similar. I’m convinced these girls don’t know the clothing value even though they say they offer 50% of retail value for the items."
"I usually just go in to sell after a closet clean out. It’s not a way to get rich, but for things that you would donate might as well get some cash or store credit. They will donate what they don’t take, if you don’t want to take it to a donate center. Assortment can be hit or miss. Some buyers/associates are more well versed in quality/brands than others, but overall most are friendly. I believe they offer more store credit than cash."
"The most sustainable and fashionable choice - Buffalo Exchange is well known for being a top tier place to find high quality used clothing, and many near new. I've been going to Buffalo Exchange for a few years now, always finding something comfortable and affordable. They're also great if you're looking to trade out some old clothes for some cool duds. Also, their clothes buying program is amazing if you're constantly cycling out of asthetics, fashion choices, or even seasonal wear."
