"Hands down some of the best food I’ve had. Definitely the best I’ve had on the island and very fairly priced for what you get. It was the owners cooking tonight and I was pleasantly surprised. My steak was cooked perfectly to my asking of medium rare, the asparagus was the way it should be, rice pilot was well seasoned. And truffle fries to boot with extra crispy fries."
"Back in September, my (now) husband and I went on our honeymoon to the San Juan Islands and happened to be staying on Lopez in a cottage AirBnB just a five minute walk from this place. A lovely Lopez Island Museum employee/volunteer recommended the spot and we decided to follow through and check it out. We were both SO glad we did. He had a burger and fries and I had salmon with squash, zucchini, and rice. It was some of the best salmon I’d had in my entire life. Cooked to perfection. The vegetables were also done flawlessly; I rarely save the vegetables for last (I eat least favorite to favorite), but it was competing pretty close with the salmon. His burger was also amazing and the fries? No notes. Their wine, cider, and beer choices were top tier, too. They also comp-ed our dessert because it was our honeymoon (which was beyond sweet of them) and the overall service was impeccable. Sunny really lives up to their name. A big ray of sunshine. EAT HERE. You’ll be 200% satisfied."
"Beautiful restruant on Lopez Island with fresh, local ingredients and excellent service. We had a delicious heirloom salad. burger with fries and a gooey skillet cookie. Friendly and fast service. We sat on the deck and has a peekaboo view of the ocean."
"Great food, great service. Dine inside or outside on their cool patio. Sailing the San Juan islands, we discovered this new haute with long time local residents and friends. This new hotspot didn't disappoint. Great service, wait staff eager to deliver, food was fresh, delicious and locally sourced. Cozy atmosphere with diverse menu. The beautiful fresh florals on each table were a thoughtful accent of Island life. The Blue Heron is a must stop that won't disappoint. Bón provecho"
