Reviews of Loving Touch Pet Spa and Training
"First I want to say that the people I spoke with were very nice. They were prompt, timely, flexible and very sweet with my dog who is was a 6 month puppy having her first groom. The only complaint I have that I will likely bring up with them via phone is that my dog is double coated and very fluffy and had some light matting on her lower back and on her back legs. When I picked her up she looked amazing (extra fluffy and so clean) however having never owned a double coated dog myself I asked them what kind of brush they suggested for her undercoat, specifically if an undercoat rake was a good idea. They told me that they didn't use an undercoat rake on her and that the slicker brush did a good job. She looked good so I was happy and left. Unfortunately, only a few days later, I noticed that her backend seemed oddly matted again. I wasn't really sure what to make of this. I tried brushing her out with a slicker brush but not really that much came out as expected. I purchased an undercoat rake and when it arrived a week later I tried it on the dog and holy fur ball it got out so much fur. I've been doing it over groom training her for the last few days and have easily brushed out half of my dog in fur with that undercoat rake. She just turned 7 months and was in the groomer about 2 weeks ago. I don't feel there's any way should have shed that much in 2 weeks. While again, I don't have a ton of experience with double coats, I'm guessing that the top coat was brushed out really good but it just didn't reach the undercoat of my very fluffy puppy. I'm not super thrilled that I'm having to do so much grooming on her to get her undercoat cleaned up only two weeks after being at the groomer. Remember she's not even old enough to really have her first shed yet. In the end I feel like the person I worked with maybe just didn't know how to deal with a double coated dog or didn't know how to deal with one with a very fluffy coat. I think just asking them to go through her with an undercoat rake next time will solve the problem but I can't say I'm 100% satisfied with my first time with them."
"This place is truly the best! I had gone to multiple different dog groomers to get my dog's nails trimmed and I dreaded it every time. Until I found Loving Touch Pet Spa and Training. Instead of taking the dogs to the back, they have an area in the front where you can watch your dog get their nails trimmed. It makes me feel so much better getting to watch it and they truly do have a loving touch."
"Rachel is amazing and so talented! She is working with our 1-year-old puppy Leah who’s had hard grooming experiences in the past. Rachel has put in so much time working with her in the bath and with the scary hairdryer; she's getting a little more comfortable with it each time. I don’t know where we’d be without Rachel's help – she is so good with our pup!"
"Love this place! Such great staff and always willing to work with your schedule. Never had problems with planning at all. Staff is great. The environment is awesome. I have gone to this place 5 times, and it has not failed me. I would strongly recommend it! Book early, the spots fill up fast."
