Reviews of Frost Woods Beach
"Decent shaded parking lot for about 10 cars with lake access. Two picnic tables available. Plenty of sludge, weeds, and algae create a powerful stench."
"Frost Wood's Beach, located in Monona, is a wonderful small community beach that is perfect spot for a brief stop. Swimming is usually not recommended. Scenic wooded area with picnic tables. If you're exploring the area on a bike, Frost Wood's Beach provides a great stop along the bike route around Lake Monona. First Wood's Beach is a lovely spot for a picnic lunch outing or a peaceful day in nature, or a quick stop to take in the sunset in the bay."
"Nice (quite) small park on Lake Monona with a tiny sandy beach. Can be overrun by ducks and geese, and that means that for sanitary reasons you should usually watch where you step until you have checked it out. Beach is swimmable when it's not closed for algae or bacteria, and if you don't mind lake weeds. Free place to launch a canoe or kayak if you can manage a 150' carry with a slope on the walk down from the parking lot. Picnic tables for eating or socializing, with good view of sunsets over the bay."
"Intimate beach complete with toy trucks from the kids. Great place to watch the water. Small parking lot for less than 10 cars."
"Gorgeous park with three picture tables, a bench, a small beach. Trash can and recycling available. No bathrooms. Sloped, gravel path to grassy area and wooden barrier in front of sandy area so not terribly accessible for people with mobility issues."
