"Total CROOKS. Stay away from this service. Stole money from a cancer patient. The applications weren't doing anything, but then we found out that I needed cancer treatments, so we called to cancel (we needed the money for my chemo, you see). They told us that we had a contract for 8 applications. That's fine. So we called after 8 applications, but they still wouldn't cancel because the first two applications were "special" and therefore did not count. so we ended up paying $200 to cancel the contract. I am sick as a dog, on chemo, lost my job in October. Dear aptive, please choke on that $200. I hope that's the last money you ever make. This is not how you do business."

"I really thought that Aptive was going to be great. They're new to the Madison, WI area, but their reviews looked great. They promised so much and were so friendly. The first treatment was thorough, and the technician spent plenty of time with me. I actually wondered how they make money! Since then, treatments have been spotty, and I've had to call for reapplications that never happened. We have an acre or two of lawn and what we mostly wanted was to knock down the mosquitos and we pay extra for this each month. Only the first treatment included the entire lawn, and the two follow-up treatments afterwards did not - not even the requested follow-up visits. The bait traps and mosquito traps have been empty and dry for weeks. The mosquitos and other bugs are as bad as they usually are each summer with no noticeable improvement. After only three treatments all summer and none so far this fall, we still have 4 more applications to pay for as we head into our Wisconsin winter... when there are no bugs! Even more maddening is that Aptive uses the same 7.9% Bifen I/T concentrate that most anyone can buy online. The active ingredient, Bifenthrin is the same .03% dilution contained in Ortho Home Defense that can be purchased at local hardware stores and applied both inside and outside your home. I've already called to pay the $199 termination fee and cut my losses. I think Aptive might be alright for small suburban yards if they show up, but once your yard is measured in terms of acreage, don't expect them to spray the entire lawn even if you pay the extra $49 for mosquito spraying. VERY DISSAPOINTING!"

"The sales person that came to our house guaranteed is that the products were completely non toxic and safe for our family. He told us the chemicals could be eaten and they would be totally safe. We signed up due to how back ticks had been early this season and after pulling ticks off of myself and our child. we were not home during the first two services. On the third derives I was home and spoke to the tech because he was in rubber boots and latex gloves. I wondered why he needed those if the products were so safe. He explained they were toxic chemicals but on the lowest end of toxicity. The sales rep completely lied to us. The company let us cancel but did not refund us for the services we were given thus far, services we would have never agreed to had we known the truth about the products they use. Shame on this company for their poor ethical practices. Do not recommend."

"Disclaimer: This is regarding only a POTENTIAL customer experience. We have no review regarding their actual service or product. So take this review with the appropriate grain of salt. Extremely pushy sales people who do unsolicited sales calls (on Sundays, and later than 6pm and multiple times) who ignores requests to remove us for whatever canvasing lists they have. First time we asked if they could leave information just to be polite, but they insisted they must go through the presentation at that moment. We said we did not have time for that, and since they couldn't be leaving information, we wouldn't be working with them and they should not come here again. About a month and a half later, they are at our place again and getting extremely defensive about us explaining that we do not wish for them to keep coming to our home unrequested (we tried to claim it wasn't his company, but since since the first unsolicited sales call was just so rude and pushy, we made sure to document it)."

His knowledge was amazing and he set me up to get rid of my mosquitoes for just $189 per treatment! The service technician Sean spent over an hour at my house and was very thorough."
