"I had Curt install a 22ft gutter on each side of my detached garage. A couple days later when it rained, all the water ran behind the gutter instead of into it on one side of the garage. I climbed up a ladder and found that the gutter on this side had been installed on top of the drip edge (completely incorrect). On the other side, the gutter was installed behind the drip edge like it should be, but the drip edge had been bent way out and away from the facia. The gutter on top of the drip edge had to be completely removed and re-installed behind the drip edge. On the other side, the gutter had to be completely removed so I could straighten out the drip edge and the reinstall the gutter by sliding it up behind the drip edge. I did the repair myself, as I did not want someone this careless doing any further work at my home. I contacted Curt, explained what had happened, and asked for a refund for the labor. He said he would have to do some "figuring" and would get back to me. He never called back, so I called him two days later. He said he would refund me $25 when the original cost had been $420. I didn't think that was very fair. I requested $100 back, and Curt started yelling and arguing and wouldn't let me speak. He later hung up on me. Also, all of the downspouts have very sharp edges, and he used many mismatched screws to put the gutters up. He even left cigarette butts in the street near my house where he parked."
