"The waves were rolling in nicely. Beautiful day for a hike on the beach, the pooch sure loved it!"
"Decent, free parking just past the lift bridge. Don't forget -- pick up after yourself, your dog, and your kids! People generally do a good job of this, so it's a pretty clean beach."
"Took a coffee with me to explore this beach at sunrise, and it didn’t disappoint. Nice boardwalk to cross the dunes, and some worn paths to walk on foot. The weather was nice for paddle boarding, and one person was out there in the 50-degree weather. Committed fellow. Good view of Duluth from this spot, and was within walking distance from Park Point Marina Inn where I stayed. This would be a good spot in the summer but I enjoyed my fall morning."
"We always visit when we're in Duluth; rain (or snow) or shine. It was so great to see the beach in the winter and be able to walk out on the frozen water. It gave us a great view of the lift bridge and downtown Duluth; a completely different perspective."
"We loved the little time that we spent there before finishing our family vacation. The beach was beautiful, we especially loved the soft sand lake floor that has a shallow shore and gets deeper gradually. The lake was super calm without big waves, the water was clean and clear. The water was pretty cold though, and it took some time to get used to it, but there were plenty of people/kids swimming. We were there in the morning around 10am, so the beach wasn't crowded, there were spaces at the parking lot, but I can imagine both beach and parking lot could get more crowed later in the day."
