"The owner is knowledgeable and very nice."
"Very nice gentleman, I would recommend him for being honest and fair."
"Took a necklace in with coin in your be evaluated. The necklace got broken while I was there but owner tried to tell me it just needed to go back in the hook. It was soldered so it has to be fixed now and it is 14K. Owner told me to take it to somebody he knew and have that jewelry store fix it and call him for approval. Owner should have offered to keep it and have it fixed himself. To send me all around town hunting down somebody "he knows" but whom I do not for approval is just not professional. In the meantime, I took the necklace, as it was a special design to Rasmussen's in Racine who were the original designers. They were able to solder it back together for a charge of $45. I sent the bill to Jim at Heritage Coins and asked he reimburse me. He sent me a letter saying that since I did not take it to the store he wanted me to, he would not reimburse me. He decided instead to denigrate Rasmussen's who have been a very well known and respected jewelry in Racine for many many years. Instead, he offered me a gift certificate of $45 to be used in his store. I never went to his store before this visit and I certainly would not care to go back given this experience. Seems to me $45 paid to me for a necklace that became broken in his store would have been a very small price to pay, especially since they broke it. It would have encouraged good will and a win-win situation. Along with this he never apologized once for the breakage and instead tried to pass it off as just being disconnected. Save yourself some anguish..... don't go here."
"Jim is a very nice person and he is most likely the most honest guy in this business! He will give you a great deal on old coins and cash. Thank you, Jim!"
"I was told by some people that they heard rumors that he wouldn't give you a good price. However, I went in there with a small collection and he told me how much everything was on an estimate and which coins were silver and how much silver was in there. I sold him 2oz of silver for 80 bucks and silver was going for 42 at the time. I think they were wrong about what they heard. I am happy with the service I received."
