"The low, flat rocks along this stretch of the Lakewalk make a great spot to enjoy the lake any time of year. Numerous small access trails lead down off the paved Lakewalk and the lower gravel stretch of Lakewalk at 23rd Ave. Most of these side trails are rugged and rocky since the whole area is exposed bedrock. In summer, there are numerous pebble beaches for wading and swimming, enjoying the Lake air conditioning, or watching a 1000 footer steam by. In winter, this is one of the best places to look for ice formations."
"Use to call it something else, The Flats. Good spot to sit for a while with a bluetooth radio and have a small camp fire."
