Reviews of Ed R. Levin County Park
"ed levin County park is an amazing place. 2 lakes, dog park, hang gliding, para gliding, fishing, hiking, camping, amazing views. extremely well maintained."
"Amazing country park. The parking fee is $6 but the bathrooms are cleaned constantly and there are rangers around in case anything unfortunate happens. They have a hang gliding area which is a fenced in part of the park but you get to see hang gliders float to wherever they please. You can also obviously expect gusty winds especially as you climb to greater heights at all times, seeing as how the east bay hill traps the wind that blows over the unique terrain. I think the best time to go is during the winter to April when the hills are still green and you can see layers and layers of yellow wildflowers. But otherwise it is still pretty and you can see two small reservoirs surrounded by perpetually green grass. There are many trails and I have even seen cars near the top of the hills; not sure how they got there. There is a dog park and the lovely Sandy Wool Lake. There are two parking lots and the one by the lake is usually more squished. People also go fishing at the lake."
"$6 entry fee having fishing lake and children park, multiple hiking trails and picnic area. I saw someone trying paragliding as well"
"Beautiful park with hikes, and good views around the ponds. Lots of wildlife to watch. Also has children's playgrounds and Paragliding."
"We visited here in February and we loved it for wild flowers and amazing hiking experience with our kids. We entered from spring valley entrance and found a parking spot easily on a weekend. We hiked some hills and reached sandy wool lake which is extremely beautiful. When we reached sandy wool entrance, there was a huge line for parking so may be this entrance is more popular. Highly recommended for a wonderful family hiking experience."
