"I have used a CPA since I started my own business. We were referred to Tom Zoeller and the De Pere Business Center by a colleague of mine who also is self-employed. There were issues from the start. The first year, the receptionist informed us we arrived at the wrong time, and no one was available. I know this to be their mistake as I entered the appointment in my digital calendar AND confirmed it before we hung up. Since they weren't able to get us in until April 13th and we didn't want to pay a penalty, they had us wait until someone was available. Even then, they had scheduled us with the wrong guy. For the first two years, we just used that CPA, but I wanted to use Tom since he was who we were referred to. We did end up with Tom for about 5 more years. His receptionist repeatedly emailed me the wrong forms to fill out or gave me incorrect information. We finally left when they forgot to file our state taxes altogether. How they managed this is beyond me since they did file our federal return. I get human error, but the cumulative total of all their mistakes were enough and we left. For someone who has a PhD in tax law, I wish Tom would surround himself with better employees for the services he delegates out. I realize this was likely the mistake of someone else in the office, but we can't be the only ones affected since there were mistakes made every single year. Several years ago, Tom also berated his receptionist in front of me for emailing the wrong forms in a very unprofessional manner."

"They charged me more than 170% from previous years. Needless to say I wasn't too thrilled when they charged me almost double this year! Time to find another accountant."
