Clients are family to them, and they take the time to plan in a way that is completely lost on too many CPAs nowadays. The "trade off" is that they do ask their clients to be reasonably prepared, and as a smaller firm they can't always drop everything for the squeaky wheel on the phone who is throwing a hissy fit. You will get ten time as much respect back as you show them, but if you're a disorganized drama queen, then this isn't the firm for you."
