"Don only charges slightly less than a dealership, yet does not have access to dealership tools, manuals or an on-hand inventory parts. Gaskets are always reused. Don is good with small engines- lawn mowers, chain saw, etc. I wouldn’t recommend for modern power sports though. Standing behind his work is questionable. I had the carb rebuilt by a dealership 3 days after Don adjusted the carb… the dealership actually replaced parts rather than clean and reuse everything- yet it wasn’t more expensive and done quicker than Don."

"I've had several lawn mowers, snow blower and an outboard motor repaired at Don's. The first mower I took there he sharpened the blades without asking for it to be done. They needed it bad. It cut great. The 15 HP outboard runs as fast as I care to go in a 16' aluminum boat. I've been going to Don's for years and never had a problem. "Sloppy work on an outboard motor. Shifter wires fell apart. Old cracked tires on trailer, one came off the rim, not safe. Lawnmower battery in the battery case. Didn't care when I complained about it. My opinion? Seems like a nice guy but does a Rube Goldberg job. I should have known when I saw lots of old boats and motors on his property. Never again! You need a repair on a boat motor, take it to Mack's Motors and save yourself a lot of headaches and extra money."

"Don was suggested to me by word- of- mouth conversations with friends . He worked on a 30 year old motorcycle for me , along with various small engines on lawnmowers and snow blowers. Each time the machines were returned in excellent condition. Knowledgeable and fair Don is an excellent choice I will recommend to anyone and already have,as friends returned with similar stories."

"I have bought an ATV and more recently a John Deere riding lawn mower from Don's. I have taken my chain saw and my motorcycle to Don's Repair. Both the ATV and the rider were older models and at the time of both purchases, they both looked brand new inside and out. I looked at many different four wheelers and lawnmowers before making a purchase. I felt that the prices were reasonable and fair. With my chainsaw and bike, I needed some work done as they both were not running correctly. Don took the time to not only find the correct parts, but he found them at the best possible price! All four of my experiences have been positive, and I do my best to tell people about Don's because I know he wont shortcut the fix!"
