Walleye Wood Floors

"Good job refinishing floor. Poor workmanship with stair treads Walleye was hired to refinish our upstairs floor and replace some of the stair treads that were very worn. The floor refinishing went fine. During the process we were shown the progress and asked questions about stain type / color, etc. The stair treads are another story. The treads were replaced but we were not called over to see what they looked like during the replacement. They left unannounced once they were done. We looked at the treads and noticed straightaway the big gaps between the risers and treads. We contacted them and they said that they noticed this but since they had already purchased the new treads that they installed them anyway. No one from their side was available to look at the treads in person until ELEVEN months later. The only alternative offered was to install quarter rounds in the gaps which was not an attractive solution. We wish that this situation would have been handled differently. We wish that they would have come to us while the treads were being installed right away and shown us this—just like they did with the floor refinishing. Instead they installed them knowing they looked awful and left without a word. We would have been willing to work out an alternative solution if ‘already paying for the treads’ was what they were worried about. After their reaction we have decided that we will not hire them for any additional work."

"Jordan and Ryan did a fantastic job on our floors. We had a weird transition from ugly yellowish hardwood in our kitchen and entryway to carpet in our living room and hallway that needed to be fixed. I called them for a quote and Jordan was able to stop over right away. During the quote he went over exactly what he would do in great detail which showed me he knew what he was doing. He was able to explain how we could keep our current hardwood(with a color change) and lay new wood in the carpeted areas so it would all look like it had been that way the whole time. These guys truly went above and beyond our expectations. They started and finished the job when they said they would. It was a great experience and our floors look amazing!"
