"Duane did a fantastic job of installing a dishwasher in my kitchen. I did not have a previous dishwasher so it required removing a bank of drawers, which Duane thought could be salvaged. However it was not installed as he thought, so was required to damage them to get out. He then took it upon himself to repair the damaged cupboard and even gave me a butcher block top for them. He did not charge me extra for the parts he had to furnish/buy to complete the installation, even provided me with two new water filters without charge. He made certain there were no leaks and that the dishwasher worked properly before he left. I was very pleased and would recommend Livingood's Handyman service to anyone."

"We hired Livingood Handyman and Remodeling for an extensive kitchen remodel to include floor tile, exterior doors and complete cabinetry. We should have considered parting ways when he installed the front door to open/swing the wrong way. Now anytime we have packages/groceries to bring in or out of the home, we cannot bring them through the front door and have to go through the garage. However, when it came to the installation of the cabinetry, I arrived home one afternoon to see that the cabinets were installed in a laughable manner and holes were drilled into the sides of the cabinets where they did not need to be. So now I have two $700 Oak Wood panels with holes in them that will now need to be filled with wood putty because of his negligence. I am not at all happy and Duane is asked to not return. Once we got onto another contractors schedule, the carpenter called me at work and said, "I hate to be the one to tell you this, but virtually every wall and countertop cabinet will need to be moved. Duane failed to read the blue prints and it looks like two days work to cut, move and correct everything. He was off by as much as 6 inches. This means that your countertops, sink, dishwasher, refrigerator or stove cannot yet be installed, " The new contractor had to remove and reinstall all the refrigerator wall cabinets and rebuild the overhead support base. Remove and reinstall sink wall cabinets, rebuild the sink base, remove the dishwasher end panel and rebuild. Move the dishwasher cabinets and add filler that was missed. They also had to move cabinets on the oven side and add filler where Duane failed to do so. Repainting the walls that were damaged as a result of this was $150. Redoing all the cabinetry cost us $1000 and we had to reorder a new sink base for $259.51. The sink base was a custom order, and took 5 weeks to get rebuilt, thus leaving us without a kitchen an additional 6 weeks because of Duane's failed efforts. I spoke to Duane several times to come to a solution and avoid writing any negative reviews or involve the BBB. He was not at all receptive to reimbursing what we had to pay out of pocket. We offered to Duane that we settle for half ($704.50) of what we were out of pocket ($1409.00 ) but he refused. He only offered to pay the $259.51 for the sink base, if I did not write any reviews. All of which I thought was terribly unprofessional and unfair to us. We are out $1409.00 and had to endure a month and a half longer without a kitchen of any sort.
