"So unorganized, scheduled AN MRV for me a week ago, only to have them call me on the day of my appointment when I was 2 min away to cancel it saying they haven’t gotten authorization yet from my insurance. They knew about this Friday and yet called me last minute. Even the scheduling department agreed they messed up. I drove all the way across town, took work off to do this and they didn’t have the decency to let me know in timely manner. Horrible service would not recommend."
"You know, I've been pretty neutral about my doctor, who spends as much time dictating what I say in an appointment as actually listening, such that I feel gaslit at later appointments because she gets the dictation of what I say wrong. I really like the PAs I've seen, who bother to listen before they take notes and occasionally make eye contact. Noran remains in an 18 month contract dispute with United Health (who are also awful humans) over Botox payment, so my primary treatment and reason I keep coming to Noran is now gone. I've had to jump through hoops and find Botox for migraine on my own, no help from Noran when I called, just a "maybe your doctor will figure out new treatment," and then when I called to get them to authorize treatment at United they were nice enough, but I had to do all my own leg work to get there. But the reason I'll be leaving Noran is my doctor's care team and the people who handle the phones who are contrary, who are busy trying to "handle" people but they don't handle their job, and have become people who I distinctly dislike. They consistently drop the ball on refill requests and other things, and then try to tell me my pharmacy, who I can stand by and watch in the flesh do their jobs, aren't doing what they say they're doing. Like I literally watch them contact you, and then they can show me a log of the times they've contacted you, and then I call and y'all are like "oh they've never contacted us." Then they wonder why I'm not nice when I call. Recently I told a woman on the phone that the PA was very much appreciated but the pharmacy needed a refill to back it, so she told me I didn't know what I was talking about and they did everything and to take it up with my pharmacy. I was standing at the pharmacy when she did this, so I knew it wasn't done. Here I am a week later, my pharmacy having sent them requests multiple times. Of course that same care team is quick to always insist I make an appointment even though I've recently seen the doctor. I know who is doing what work, and from where. I know who is dropping the ball."
"I’ve been a patient for several years. These are the reasons I’m transferring my care elsewhere: 1. When scheduling follow up appointments after intensive testing to receive results, I was told they are scheduling 6 months out. Not acceptable. 2. My annual exam (that I schedule well in advance-at least 4 months) needed to be rescheduled by the provider and when I was notified 2 weeks before my appointment, I couldn’t reschedule for 6 months. Annual means 12 months, not 18. Not acceptable. 3. The staff has been instructed by the business office to LIE regarding virtual appointments. I was told my insurance no longer covers telehealth-it most certainly does (and for Noran even!). When confronted with this info, the staff member admitted they were told to tell patients it’s an insurance issue but it really is their clinic policy now. Not acceptable."
"I went to see someone for numbness in my feet. The dr smiled at me and ignored most of what I was saying and sent me off with a neuropathy diagnosis and asked for a bunch of blood tests. It didn’t feel right so I went to summit orthopedic, they immediately ordered X-rays and found an impingement in my spine. So pretty unhappy to have to pay a bill for someone who likely would have caused and overseen permanent nerve damage. The place was run well though, I didn’t have to wait long."
"Noran Neurological Clinic Lake Elmo highly recommended. Dr. Jesse Corry found one of my medications had huge side effects so made a change and so far it is working out. He does not rush thru appointments, gets your questions answered and most of all has a plan in place. First appointment here impressed."
