Reviews of Camino Ruiz Park
"It’s our neighborhood park. We regularly go for a walk and our kid love to play on play structure there. There are baseball ground to play. Sunset view is beautiful. There are gazebo to have small gathering and fun activities. Park is old but nice. You may have access to Peñasquitos waterfall trail from the park."
"Great location, needs a little updating. The ground in park falling apart. But the playground structures are great for young toddlers to older kids. There is a walking trail around park that might be 1/2 a mile? A 1/4 mile? It is themed on indigenous people with native resources which is cool, but also faded. A great overlook towards the West during sunset on the other side of the playground. There are the fields too, but I don't use those and can't imagine there would be enough parking if those were being used for games. Otherwise, parking is fine. I like that you can hike into PQ Canyon. There are trail bells you can use too, which is fun."
"Well maintained and situated local park. Beautiful views and convenient access to the PQ Trails. Good accessible walking paths and decent playgrounds. Many baseball fields, picnic tables/gazebos, and a basketball court and working restrooms."
"I generally go to this park for my daily dose of walk. It feels nice to take multiple rounds while enjoying the view of the Los Penasquitos Canyon reserve. There are plenty of sitting options, boards with the history of the area, details of flora and fauna are pretty informative. I regularly spot some small wildlife there. There's a hiking trail also which can be accessed from just outside the park."
