"Let me start by saying- because of my husband’s career in the Military we have traveled and lived all over the world. We have experienced surgeries, births, traumas, and three kids worth of doctors appointments for the last 18 years. That being said, I’m not sure I have ever been to a hospital where the employees are flat out rude. Walked in and apparently interrupted the conversation between the temperature checker and her friend. Stood there a bit before she looked over annoyed and finally did her job, kinda. I tried to check in at registration for my podiatrist appointment, the last at the end was so rude. She had no idea how to handle my Military insurance, I had to explain we don’t have cards, we have Military ID’s. She didn’t want it because she ‘couldn’t scan it’. I explained because it’s a doctors office she could. She refused my info and sent me on my way. Five minutes of being at the appointment I’m told I have to go back to registration. This is a huge inconvenience. I have three torn tendons in my ankle, but yes I’ll walk out of my way again because you failed at your job. I have to deal with the same rude lady... She points to my benefits number and said ‘it’s too long to be a social’. I said ‘Because it’s not, everything goes by my husband’s social’. At this point she gets really loud and aggressive. Actually stands up and said ‘That’s what I said, you hear me? That’s what I said, it’s not a social’. I look over at the reception lady in the middle, she is filing her nails trying to ignore the situation. Trying to give her my husbands she starts yelling it. Uh, can we not tell his social out loud?? She asked if I wanted to write it, yeah no. I can’t remember the last time I have dealt with a point of contact, first point of contact at a hospital who was rude, aggressive, and just not helpful. The doctor was fine. His assistant was questionable. Half her fake nails ripped off, half on. She interrupted our appointment asking ‘Did you call me’? The doctor quickly and sternly said ‘No’ before she closed the door. The whole establishment is unprofessional. I’m not sure I would ever see this doctor again based on the people who need to be seen before him."
"2 greeters at the door to check for covid-19: one had mask below his nose and was slouching in his chair playing on his phone. Other one is insisting I come close so he can take my temperature and expose me to the mask-less guy. Nice signal that sends about caution and caring for people. Receptionist at the front desk was extremely impolite. Felt like I was being an imposition for just checking in. Receptionist in the back in Waiting Area A, removed her mask when she sneezed! Luckily, I was in the back of the room, waiting for the lab. But the lab never called me. After 15 minutes, I had to go up to the desk to check in again. Even though I had been to another Ascension 5 times this year, they had no updated information. They have different computer systems for different medical facilities. And when I had to get tested at another Ascension, I had to call a separate number to make those arrangements. I also had to have the first Ascension, send the order over to the second Ascension, because they couldn't access the records. My nurse was great: very caring and professional. The doctor I saw was also really good: explained things well in great detail. Later, I had to call back to get results of a lab test I took. No one called me. Then a week after a CT scan I took (that they ordered) I called back and they said they could not access the results because it was through a different Ascension and I had to call the other Ascension, ask them to put the results on a disc and then go pick up that disc myself! Now, I wanted a written copy of my test results and a summary of my visit. They refused to mail it to me or to email it to me. I had to go in again (during a pandemic) and pick up an envelope with paper copies of what I asked for. I'm going back to Aurora where you just have to sign into your account to see everything that I had asked for. 12 days after the CT scan, they called me to tell me that the test that they said they could not get a copy of, and that I would have to go back to the other clinic to retrieve and deliver it to them, I can now pick up at their clinic! WHY DID THEY SEND ME TO PICK UP A HARD COPY OF SOMETHING THAT WAS BEING SENT TO THEIR CLINIC???? I thought they had replied here but it seems to have disappeared."
