Reviews of Blaze Credit Union - Westminster Administrative Offices
"I was constantly charge an overdraft fee for months. This bank gave me no notice whatsoever. I dont think they have customer as their first priority."
"I have been a member for 40+ years. My calls are always answered by a live person, not a pick a number phone tree. I have had multiple loans over the years and they have always been pleasant to work with. Hiway offered everything you can get at a big bank, but with true customer service and without the big bank fees. I recommend Hiway to everyone."
"While I’m an account holder and happy with that; the experience I had yesterday with the home loan department in general, and Karen Ackerman in particular, warranted this poor rating and review. A colleague of mine told me about the program they offer to refinance your current home loan to a lower interest rate and pay off within 10 years. To me it was a no brainer because I want to have my home paid off before 40. So I called them to make an appointment to go over the details and Karen got me set up. So I came in with all the needed documentation and she went over the details and said the it looked like I qualified so asked if I would like to proceed with the application. And I agreed. Within 2 mins I get an email that my credit had been checked. When I asked her she confirmed that they ran the report (without having told me prior). This made me pretty upset but I held back. Reason being is that the credit report, at least out of the 10+ loans Ive done at other institutions, was ALWAYS ran last. Anyways 10mins into the process she starts asking me about my other rental properties. I figured she wanted general information for my financial health so I provided it. 25 mins later she is still asking and I get curious and asked her why all the information was needed. She states that the underwriter will need it. So I ask her to clarify. She tells me they will need all my tenants leases, rent roll, insurance information, bank loan statements. And that’s just for my rental. We never even discuss my primary business. When I asked why all the information was needed to refinance my HOME loan at the amount I owe only she stated, once again, it was needed for the underwriter. When I asked why was this not brought to my attention, or the running of my report, prior to starting I recieved no response. I understand that after the Great Recession, that was caused by lending institutions, that banks need to be diligent. However, this amount of scrutiny on a business owner with multiple properties and credit rating that can get a new Tesla with no down payment was offensive and ridicules."
"This place is bs! I was told a while back that there was a skip a payment program here, then someone called back and said there wasn't. Recently I saw on their website that they do and a woman even said they do, but they can't for us. WHAT IS IT THEN? YES OR NO? I SWEAR THIS IS PURE DISCRIMINATION! I have an appointment with my family attorney tomorrow, to discuss what options I have available. You guys have been nothing but the opposite of helpful since day one."
"Been a member for 35+ years. Have always had professional, courteous, friendly, and timely service on numerous loans and accounts. Although I no longer live in the metro, they still service many of my financial needs. Have never had a reason to say anything negative about them: Outstanding! Thank You!"
