Newport Beach Municipal Beach

"It’s a little funny to review a beach but after visiting there tonight I wanted to encourage others to go to Newport to watch the sunset and enjoy the fun shops and restaurants in this cute little beach town. We were there over President’s Day weekend and it was hopping but not so packed there were long longs to eat or anything. Parking was a little hard to find but we managed and it’s free after 6:00 so we enjoyed staying a little later into the evening. The sunset view from the pier was breathtaking and there was a cute little Mexican guy singing on the pier who told us to “always be happy”. We loved it!"

"My sister in law loves Newport Beach, and we vacationed here for two summers in a row. She rented a beautiful house just steps away from the sand, and our kids would play in the sand and beach all week long. The beach is very clean, the water is very nice, and it's not as crowded as some other California beaches. The walk along the beach path is so nice in the early morning, when there are fewer people. My husband and I love early morning bike rides when we are on vacation, and the weather is not as hot in the early morning also. There are delicious restaurants nearby, and it is pretty close to delicious restaurants towards Irvine. We created such beautiful memories at this beach. There is street parking around the residential areas too, so you don't need to pay for parking if you just drive around to find a spot."

"Hi guys I am back again with a fantastic review today is Mother’s Day so we decided to go to the beach and I must say we had a very great experience the beachfront homes were breathtaking the restaurants we fabulous however the drinks weren’t so great and guys before I forget to say be careful where u park your vehicle parking, is not for free and u will get a ticket other than that the people there are super friendly and polite overall a very nice day I would go back for sure."

"Beautiful beach with beautiful views. I snapped a couple unique pics to share, one off the Newport Beach Pier on Balboa peninsula, and the second was on the beach right next to the Santa Anna River outlet where I saw these flowers growing on the beach (beautiful). The water is cold, as is California water, but the sand and sun easily make up for it. There's also tons of public parking for cheap and some really nice restaurants and shops right around the pier."

"I liked this beach overall. They have a huge lifeguard presence and a nice facility at the pier. I was surprised at the amount of plastic trash that was in the sand. Not big giant pieces but small things. Coming from Florida beaches that was a shock. I would be out there every day with a bucket if I lived close by. But they had large bulldozers pushing sand and flattening it out, and collecting piles of sticks and debris. Overall a great experience."
