"Terrible school now. Things used to be great when Darla used to manage it. The new director is rude and allows staff to break policies and take zero responsibilities for terrible teaching. Another mother has a challenged child; the teacher decided to stick him in the hallway with a tablet to play solitaire because she didn't want to teach him anymore. My child's teacher kept telling me that my son is doing great at conferences and via emails but then gave him D's on the report card. My child placed 98% on MAP and NWEA. The teacher wouldn't tell parents about any assignments, projects, or tests. Kids never had homework b/c they did it at school. So when is teaching and class work? No field trips. Open floor plan with no doors which is a safety issue. No school bussing. Just 3 days ago there was a scare b/c some kid brought a bibi gun to school. School starts really late at 9:30 which is difficult habit to break for the rest of the schools when they start much earlier. It is hard on parents to get to jobs so late. Just a couple of months ago the school announced that the middle school portion of it is closing. Enrollment rates are bad and experiences by parents are awful. Kids leave mid year to the point where my son is 1 of 7. During school board meetings parents aren't allowed to share and are being kicked out b/c those meetings are managed by crooked people. The Board members who try to stand up for parents are being kicked off the committee. Stacked! Has no real curriculum in leadership. Leadership is just a blank class, similar to study hall where kids can choose to study whatever they choose or just play time. Social Studies teacher was caught taking material from google. We found an identical worksheet with answers. What curriculum is teacher creating? She's just lazy and steals material online."
