"Went 3 weeks ago and totally agree with the other recent post about path is not easy to spot with overgrown weeds/poison ivy. (see the little suckers that stick to pants along the hike). Started with Trippet Ranch which I would not choose it again, went ascending hill briefly then long no shade descend. Once made it to the valley saw some people coming from the other entrance who didn't get nearly as much weeds on them than me and less sweaty. Water bed is covered with poison ivy. First time seeing this many, so you do not want to wonder off the path.(see photos) Took about 4 hours, it's exhausting. But the waterfall has decent streams, if you climb up the waterfall there's a good lookout point. Easier to climb barefoot as the little drilled holes grip better that way."
"I came in from Trippet Ranch, which made for a 5 mile round trip hike, with a relatively steep climb out back to Trippet. The first half of the trail was scrubby and dry. But the second half to the falls was lush with tall oaks and other trees creating a canopy, and covered with a rich variety of local wildflowers. Perfect for a hot weather day hike. I'll be back."
"It’s not 0.6 miles as some resources say- the trail disappears often and is extremely overgrown from all the rainfall this year. There are strands of algae running through the entire creek which makes you feel like the water is very dirty. The waterfall itself is pretty, but the hike itself makes it worth it if your looking for something local and have dogs all the other big ones"
"Great hike! Parking is on the side of the road. Start of the hike is through a neighborhood but the rest is nature. Its a decent hike to the waterfall with a lot of stream crossings. Large likely hood you’ll get your shoes wet."
"Amazing hike that is moderate and currently a bit different due to all the streams that make it very easy for event he locals to get lost. Not pet friendly. It is easy for a bit but once you get halfway it's tough on the ankles as you are balanced on many little rocks that can be slippery."
