"As far as the San Fernando Valley goes, it is the most beautiful of any place.I use to run around the reservoir and it was my most favorite run.Nothing better than to be running ,in the rain,along Valley Circle Boulevard ,within 50 feet of the surrounding fence and having a good run.I loved it so much I bought a home that backs directly to the reservoir and now love it even more.I have a favorite hawk that hunts right over our property,There are coyotes, skunks,rabbits,deer and mountain loins in the immediate area.So peaceful!The yearly walk is nice but they had a sponsored 5 and 10 km runs in the area for a while but terminated them in the late 90's.Great place to eat in Manor Knolls along the North side of reservoir.Enjoy! "I love the reservoir. I lived nearby for many years and always found it a beautiful area. The wildlife was terrific to watch. I am very sad to see it dry now. In my 61 years I have never seen it dry. It was a great way station. I wonder where all the wildlife will go now. Add on: 2/13/19. The reservoir is pretty much filled again due to the rains we have had recently. It's wonderful to see the wildlife return to the area. The lake was sectioned with berms, so the water is filled in both areas. With more rain hopefully the berm will get covered also. Go take a look. It's relaxing."
