"One of the most beautiful and lush places on earth! The minute you enter it's boundaries the air smells amazing. A creek to cool off in for Summer and beautiful trails that criss cross creeks❤️"
"Gorgeous hidden gem of a state park! Easy to get to from the Bay area, especially San Francisco, if you leave earlier in the morning. The Pioneer Tree Trail is a quick, two hour loop or so that takes you through the whole ecosystem of a gorgeous grove of redwoods. You start at the forest floor by a creek and make it all the way to the canopy into grassy groves of oaks. To get to the Pioneer Tree Trail I parked in the Azalea day use area (bonus! clean decent bathrooms!) and headed over the bridge through the Redwood Grove Group Campground. I began at the trail head and then came back on the Marin Creek Trail. Tip: somehow redwood groves are even more beautiful in a nice light rain, just wear decent rain boots!! the trail definitely gets muddy!!"
"Samuel P Taylor is a wonderful place to enjoy Mother Nature at her best. Camping next to the majestic Redwoods enables you to forget your world back home and find peace, calmness and beauty. One of the camp volunteers mentioned that they need more campers and money to help service this location. Come enjoy and I guarantee you’ll want to return."
"Hard to get to but it is a complete joy to be there. Highly recommended location. If you were coming from Sacramento it would probably take you about two and a half hours maybe less and it's a short drive from the Bay area. It's quiet it's a national park with clean bathrooms and showers. Not a lot of RV parking but if you can camp do so. Or should I say if you like camping do so. The footprint on the campsites are large but parking is a hit or miss. If anybody else knows anything more about Samuel p Taylor Park please let us know by posting something. I certainly would appreciate it."
