"Have to park and walk quite a bit away so dont leave any valuables, tons of trails, water is clean, and little fresh water clam shells everywhere. As other reviewers have mentioned... Yes there are homeless people that camp out but they are still regular people.. they wont harm or bother you."

"Fantastic park with lots of trails to explore, great beaches for hanging out and a generally fun and safe place. Things to know: depending on where you walk to once you enter the area you may wind up walking a half mile to reach the water; though you will see scattered remains of fires here - please do NOT make fires in this area, there are no established fire rings anywhere and the brush around the area is very dry for ~8 months out of the year and just waiting for an errant spark to start a runaway fire; not technically an off leash area, but there are lots of well-behaved dogs who wander freely with their owners."
