Oceanside Municipal Pier

"One of many municipal piers that dot the southern California coastline, these are usually good spots to watch surfers and take a walk and look at the water. This is a less developed example of the category, with a restaurant and bathrooms and a municipal amphitheater underneath the entrance. There's a small dedicated parking lot and metered parking in Oceanside at the foot of the bridge that connects the pier to the city."

"A fun spot to be able to take a casual stroll over the ocean! Great views and fun shops along the way! You can even rent gear to go fishing! The only bummer is there is a great building sitting unused at the end! I would love to resore it and make something fun for the area! I'm curious who owns it and if it's for sale or if someone needs help restoring it!"

"Love the beach live in Vegas, so Oceanside has always been one of my favorites. When I was in the Marines, I went to school at Camp Pendleton. So have some good memories in this area. So when I get a chance I will come here with the family."

"I have never stopped by Oceanside before but it has very beautiful wide beaches that spread horizontally and the view from the pier is absolutely gorgeous. It’s almost Xmas season so I see many surfers are enjoying the water. I can tell Oceanside is one of the old beach town so it’s mixed with old school type of places and updated things. I recommend it sometime stopping by here between LA ⇄ SD trip. You can use the coaster train and the train stops one block from the beach. It seems very convenient."

"It's a pier! But it's a nice pier. Fun to walk out and look back at the shore or out to sea at all the boats. Watch surfers, people fishing. Great for taking photos and because it's such a long pier it's an excellent way to get in your steps with nice surroundings."
