About the Chino Creek Wetlands and Educational Park
Chino Creek Wetlands and Educational Park is a 22-acre park located in Chino, California, adjacent to the Inland Empire Utilities Agency Headquarters. This park, which opened in 2007, was funded in part by a state grant from the State Water Resources Control Board. The park is designed to restore native habitat and natural drainage, showcasing the environmental values of the Prado Basin, the largest riparian forest in southern California.
Visitors to the park can enjoy 1.7 miles of trails landscaped with a variety of climate-appropriate and low-water-use plants. The park also features a state-of-the-art irrigation management system. Open to the public year-round during daylight hours, the park offers educational programs for students through the Water Discovery Field Trip Program. These programs include tours of the interpretative wetlands and wildlife education center.
The park serves as a demonstration area for the community on the value of conservation and the importance of wetlands in our environment. It also helps improve water supply, stormwater treatment, and water efficiency. Additional features of the park include wetlands and riparian habitat, sampling stations, a picnic area, a visitor's center, parking, bridges, and an amphitheater. Visit Chino Creek Wetlands and Educational Park to experience the beauty of nature and learn about the importance of wetland conservation.

Reviews of Chino Creek Wetlands and Educational Park
"It’s a great flat rock path! The trail was fun, easy, and exciting for my toddler to run around. Had interesting learning centers for you to learn about the animals that lived here. I don’t recommend a stroller unless it can handled rock paths. Such a beautiful place to explore with kids."
"I had been to another preserve and was pleasantly suprised at how nice this one was. Tons of ducks, lotrs of water some ponds the algae was high, saw a couple turtles. Very nice walk in nature. Got some great pictures of dragonflies. Bring a bottle of water didn't see faucets. There were a couple porta poties with hand wash stations. didn't see water faucets but it was a very pleasant area."
"Been here for 2 different photo shoots. It's such beautiful place for it. I haven't walked the entire place but where I've been has been beautiful. It's clean, very well kept."
"This lovely little park is a hidden gem, especially after the rain. The wetland is next to the water quality lab, just nearby our place and it's well maintained. You can get in touch with nature super easy here and enjoy a small hike."
"We visited the wetlands because we were curious what it would be like. It was a good thing that I used google maps directions because I would never have figured the entrance into the park was gravel. That said although the parking area was gravel it was well manicured. We got there around 11:00 AM and it was already warm so I felt fortunate I could park under a tree. We were the only car in the parking area. The path’s are gravel as well. There is a aesthetically pleasing covered area that gives historical information regarding water in the area. It was set up so one could take their time reading the displays. Throughout the park there were areas of interest as well as a amphitheater that holds quite a few people. The park is set up so schools can have field trips to the park and learn about the wetlands. The amphitheater obviously is set up for school children to sit and learn. There are a lot of trees and shrubs as well as an area where there are picnic tables. Again perfect for an eating area for the students that are there on a field trip. We saw some ducks in the pond. What was interesting was what appeared to be algae covering the water. The ponds are recycled water. There is no fishing in the ponds. Overall it was a decent visit and worth going there."
