Center Stage Dance Academy of Poynette is a professional dance academy located in Poynette, Wisconsin, just 25 miles north of the Madison metro area. Offering a variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, pointe, and contemporary, CSDA caters to dancers of all ages, from 3 years old to adult. The academy is led by director and teacher Erin McNamara, a highly qualified instructor whose passion for dance shines through in every class.
Two of the academy's students, Teagan Thurston and Melanie Koopmans, share their experiences at CSDA. Teagan has been dancing at the academy for 15 years and attends Poynette High School. Her favorite genre of dance is lyrical, and she plans to attend Minnesota State University of Mankato after high school. Melanie has been dancing at CSDA since she was 5 years old and also attends Poynette High School. Her favorite genre of dance is tap, and she hopes to pursue a degree in writing, literature, and publishing at Emerson College in Boston after high school.
