"Beautiful skyline.. The only drawback when I visited was that the water in the lake/pond was smelling super bad because of several dead fishes floating on top.. Apart from the water body the view was spectacular worth spending sunset hours.."

Dependent on the time of year, goose poop can be an issue, and it can be very crowded, but well worth it for the sunset and Lake Merritt light reflection thereafter."
