"Ok people, Amazon does NOT have their own drivers they are all contracted! The Sussex warehouse has between 6 and 10 different companies that drive through there. Each company delivers between 5000 and 8000 packages per day. By the time your package ends up on a truck, some get damaged from miles of conveyor belts and the entire shipping process therefore you may see a truck in front of your house and suddenly your delivery gets delayed. It happens. And driver notes are for you to instruct drivers to your home if in a new subdivision or to ask them to put it in a certain place....No drivers cannot put anything in or on your mailbox it is against the law EVEN with your permission if we put it on top your postman WILL take it and you WILL have to pay a fee to get it from the post office. Your package not on your porch after a snow....read your agreement. Drivers technically don't have to deliver your package if they don't have a clear path to the drop location, includes snow any amount of ice, toys hoses ect. At night turn on your light if you know when your package should arrive and bring in your dogs. Seriously, your at the store get your beverages from there... they are heavy like cat litter. You don't want to carry it to your car in the winter cause you might slip? Guess what drivers are humans as well and do slip and fall so clear a path for them. If you have an issue with a delivery CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE and provide the TBA number on your package so Amazon can contact the company that delivered it so they can deal with that one employee v.s you complaining on driver notes to every 1000 drivers and ruining their day. Long driveways? During winter the vans won't go up unsalted or unsalted snow covered drives they do not get the same traction as your awd vehicle. Put a tote at near the road (by the mailbox even) for deliveries ( put bricks in the bottom so it don't blow away ) I see people not reducing speeds around delivery vehicles wether ups, fed ex, Amazon ect. The delivery person might be crossing the road why you trying to kill them? Slow down before you hit one. And for God sake when you signed up for your account front porch delivery is standard. Says nothing about it being 2 inches from your front door so get off your horse and stop being lazy. IF YOUR package ends up be your garage....what obstacles are between that point and your porch? I bet it wasn't clear. Did you know Amazon drivers get paid significantly LESS than ANY other delivery companies in the industry? Cut them some slack. They walk between 15 and 25 miles a day depending on the season.....and they get in and out of their vehicles over 200 times a day. Until you try getting in and out of your car 200 times and walk to the road then to your front door then back to your car and repeat 200 times for 1 day DONT COMPLAIN they do this every day. Some young some older in the 60's. And some with health issues. Read your agreement. And remember things happen. Drivers run out of time, wind chills get dangerous low, package might get damaged and sometimes doesn't get noticeable until it's supposed to get delivered. Unless you know the actual cause of the delay lay off them. Or go get the item from the store and you can have it sooner. Better yet try the job for 4 weeks. Bet you won't last. Bet you'll QUIT. SO QUIT UR BIT*HIN."
"I’ve had numerous packages that should have two day shipping get delayed here. Ordered items Sunday night for a Tuesday delivery; the items have been here since 4 am on Tuesday waiting to go out for delivery. At 7pm Tuesday there’s an update they are delayed and they ‘should’ be delivered by Thursday, despite never making it out for delivery. Sussex is 25 minutes from me, I wish pickup from there was an option. I could reorder the same items right now and get three of them same day with the other two being delivery tomorrow. Not sure what level of issues they are having there but it needs to be rectified."
"This amazon distribution center has a package there since 3:00 AM, supposed to be delivered by 7:00 AM today, already delayed one day, and it is not even in the radar for up to delivery yet, and it is 10:00 AM. Amazon: if you cannot commit to deliver as you promise, then we should all be thinking about a class law suit. Either you do not over promise and under deliver or just say "I do not know" when it is going to be delivered the moment we purchase it. Really bad business habit and deceitful approach."
"I use Amazon and I've never had a complaint. However, last Sunday (16th) I had an Amazon driver get stuck in my yard from my neighbors driveway. (Not even my delivery) My son and I went out to see if we could help, but by the time we got there the driver had spun the tires so many times he had dug a hole in our yard. We couldn't push him out. (Grass was wet, and it was snowing and cold, plus very steep) We tried a couple attempts to get him out without success. I invited this man into our home so he could make arrangements for help though Amazon or rental. Cutting story short... Another Amazon guy came got him out, (as we watched from our window) they were able to get him out. The drivers came to my home asked if I wanted to file a claim. We (the drivers and myself) agreed, probably best to file a claim at this point. They said they would pull trucks around to my driveway..................... They never came back! FYI, I would have been fine if these boys didn't run away. The hole they dug ISN'T just a little topsoil and seed. Not to mention my neighbors driveway damage which my neighbor might not say anything about...BUT YOU SHOULD! Thank you boys for helping me loose just a little for faith in humanity. That's just what we all need right now."
"I was hired here by Iron Moose Logistics (one of the Delivery Service Providers) I went to training and my ride along, got sick with covid for about a week, came back, worked a few excruciating days, they didn’t have a check for me when payroll rolled around. It has been over a week, about 9 days after a biweekly payroll (6 days being in violation of state and federal law) and I have still not been compensated for my time. Stay away from these companies they will try anything to steal money than belongs to your family and come up with countless excuses as to why they don't have it. People have bills to pay, they don’t care. They will try to make you feel sympathy for how busy the worst management in the world is, while still not paying you a cent for wasting your time at a dead end job. Worker beware."
