"My daughter has been dancing at ALAD for 9 years and still gets excited about going to classes. If she's having a bad day, she looks forward to class where she can dance away her worries. Natalie has built more than a school - she built a second home where the comradery surpasses any other school I've seen at dance competitions. The kids are supportive and great role models for the younger dancers. The prices are reasonable and Natalie is passionate about teaching. She and the other teachers have built strong bonds with the students and we see former students who have graduated high school come back to either perform in or watch recitals. I'm so happy that my daughter has her second home at ALAD."
"I can’t say enough good things about A Leap Above Dance! ALAD really has become another family to me and my happy place. I was one of Miss Natalie’s first students. I went on to teach for the studio for 10 years. The students and fellow staff have always been wonderful! Natalie and staff deeply care for students and provide a safe and fun environment for them. I currently take adult classes - Pilates and Barre. I highly recommend those classes for any adult looking to get moving. I can’t wait for my daughter to be able to join the ALAD family!"
"A Leap Above Dance is a lovely establishment with an even lovelier staff and atmosphere. Everyone is cared for here and is made to feel important and welcome. The owner is an extremely understanding woman who only wants the best for everyone. Natalie cares immensely for the studio and all who attend, she puts her best foot forward in all acts. She has done wonderfully during the stressful time of the pandemic by offering many options for students based on comfort of each family/student, all while still trying to make sure that each student gets the fullest studio and dance class experience they can. This place is a second home and the owner only deserves the best."
"I have danced and worked at A Leap Above Dance and it is such a positive environment for all dancers and families to explore and celebrate the love of dance. ALAD’s strength is the strong community that feels like home and provides students will a positive place to be creative. The teachers and owner are continually striving to make the studio an upbeat place of learning and growing. The way ALAD has adapted to all of the new changes is so inspiring, because the mindset is always making sure the students come first. Can’t recommend it enough!!"
"The owner, Natalie, of A Leap Above Dance is genuinely the nicest, most caring person I have ever worked with. She truly cares about her employees and dancers. This was my first year working for ALAD! In February, my father died. She told me to take time off until I felt ready to come back into the studio and made sure my classes had substitute instructors. She called to talk to me on the phone to see how I was doing. The parents were extremely grateful that she reached out to them to let them know what I was going through. Some of my dancers made me beautiful cards just to show that they care about me. Natalie, handled the quarantine with grace and professionalism. She held mandatory zoom meetings with us to walk through zoom classes and recital expectations. She literally had plans A-D for our spring recital...I think we ended up having to go with plan D because of rules and regulations! Thankfully, she had all these ideas! None of the parents or dancers know how much work she and her staff actually put into having an end of the year show so that the dancers could actually have a recital. Most studios cancelled their recitals because they didn’t want to put in the effort. Our recital was in a parking lot of a local church in Oregon and the parents and family had to watch from their cars. It was organized SO well. I was so impressed with everything the studio stands for and how well I, and the dancers are treated that I decided to stay another year."
