"To ANYONE who unfortunately has a need for biohazard or crime scene cleanup ( which I didn't even know there was such a thing ) I HIGHLY recommend Bio-Tec! After being told by our minister that we need professional help with the death cleanup and doing a little research for local crime scene cleaners, I found Bio-Tec to not only have the best price by far but they also had the most experience in this field. When we met them at the home we were completely clueless as to where to even start. They basically held my hand throughout the entire process. From the biohazard cleaning itself, filing and negotiating with the insurance carrier to providing a guide to manage the remaining things that needed to be done. We were so impressed with their professionalism and honesty that we have referred them on 2 occasions, a suicide cleanup of a close friend and COVID decontamination of our daycare center. "It's funny. On a whim I looked them up to see if they were still in business and the one google review I find from 2 years ago, echos my experience with Bio-Tech over a decade ago. My friends and I had just graduated college and I read an article about a competitor. I thought it was a field I could get into and my friends agreed so we began looking. I was applying for a number of jobs at the time being fresh out of college and ended up taking a position related to my degree. On my first day, I got a call from my buddy....Bio-Tec got back to him and we could come on board. It was a very hard decision but the upside of bio-tech (good money, be your own boss to a degree, work with my friends) seemed worth the risk. It wasn't. Financially anyway. No training other than an OSHA webinar/class. EXTREME delay in getting paid...in fact, I cannot honestly remember getting a check. We very well may have, but I know we were not paid for every job we did by a long shot. The kicker was we had to buy all our own equipment (just out of school, let's get more in debt on those credit cards!) but, with what we were expecting to bring in it again seemed worth it. It wasn't. While we were given marketing materials, it was again up to us to mail all them out. So we got the contact info for tons of coroners offices, police, fire, emergency, funeral homes....anything we could think of....and mailed out our info with a letter we put together introducing ourselves. Mailing that all wasn't free...or cheap...but we figured it would be worth it. It wasn't. It all sounded too good to be true, and it was. Live and learn. But if you want to get into this business...I'd steer clear."
