"We were there for a BOA band competition. It is a lovely outdoor stadium. Good views, good acoustics, and our college host band were great in exhibition. We had good weather, then after the break it was cloudy. We had our umbrellas but were not allowed to bring them in because umbrellas are not allowed; they only allow rain capes, coats, and hats. Also, they enforced the stadium bag rules; small see-through bags only. Restroom and wheelchair access required going up a steep hill. There are no restrooms close to the entrance, so plan ahead because you won't have easy quick access to restrooms after your long drive. The weather quickly took a bad turn, and the competition was evacuated because of bad weather; specifically lightning. Everyone had to evacuate for our safety. The evacuation went smoothly. The options for shelter available were 1) a nearby building or 2) your own vehicle. If you choose the car option, you can't hear announcements unless you are parked in Lot 11 and standing outside. Every lightning event equals an automatic 30-minute delay. Our band was good about texting updates, but some people were getting out of their cars asking for updates. It was pretty scary, and they eventually canceled the competition because of the weather."

"The stadium itself is simple, yet stunning. It’s traditional with home and away stadium seating areas (home is way bigger, of course). Every seat is General Admission, and every seat puts you on an aluminum bench. If you don’t mind sitting near the top, there are a few places where your back is up against a wall for support. At the top are modest concession stands and the only bathrooms in the place. The top is where it’s at. The playing surface is immaculate field turf; never been on it, but it looks spectacular. Announcers are clear enough, and the band helps you root for the home team. The biggest knock against it is the scoreboard which could use an upgrade. Check it out if you’re in the area. #UWW"
