"They spent 6.5 hours packing our belongings, and they still had way too much they put into speed packs. They estimated 7-9 hours to move us, and it took 13 hours to move 60% of our belongings and another 6 hours on a second day to move another 20%. The best part is they thought due to their inefficiencies that they could charge us over double the updated estimate we received after being packed. When my wife called the GM, he was so unbelievably rude and disrespectful she started to cry hysterically. They state they charge by the hour, which is fine as long as they put those hours in the estimate. The law states that you cannot charge more than 110% of the nonbinding estimate. I approved the updated estimate after the pack, and they still feel as though 200% of the estimate is acceptable. Update: It has been over a week and I still have 20% of my belongings left in my house that they won't move unless we pay for another day of moving after being charged $1000 more than we were initially quoted. We will have to hire another company to finish the move. Called the corporate office, and they say it's up to the franchise to determine what to do. I guess corporate doesn't mind their name being run through the mud. Avoid this company, at least in the Madison/Janesville area, at all cost. They will give you the lowest estimate and then charge you more than all other quotes. Second Update: Corporate was unwilling to intervene to make things right. I had Badgerland Moving finish the job and couldn’t be more happy!! Not only did they do a great job with the belongings they moved, they organized the area that Two Men and a Truck just dumped boxes that weren’t immediately needed. You can see the pictures attached that show what Two Men and a Truck left. Call Badgerland! They won’t give you the runaround like Neal and the Madison/Janesville Two Men and a Truck. A Year Later: Without ever sending me the initial non-binding agreement I requested from them, I assumed they recognized how bad they botched the job. NOPE! They have sent me to small claims court. I now have an attorney defending me against these fly-by-night movers. Choosing this Two Men and A Truck franchise is more than a buyer-beware situation. You will get low-quality service if the job is even completed."
