"This is, by and large, a fantastic place to work. I left with a very heavy heart. The people are amazing; they say it's a family company, and they mean it. Reasonably consistent home time, and if I needed a day for personal stuff, they made sure I got it. - even if it meant taking a loss (like a 200 mile deadhead). Top it off with amazing equipment. My only criticisms are that (from my perspective) they are FAR too tolerant of shipper and consignee issues, the benefits are costly, even after recent cost reductions, and the forced dispatch has got to go. I'm the end, I tried to work hard for them, and felt like they worked hard for me, and were otherwise outstanding. If the forced dispatch went away, I'd consider going back. Unfortunately, I've got a couple deal breakers, and that ended up being one of them. Just wasn't a good fit and, after a year and a half, the square peg/round hole situation had to end. Still, wish nothing but the best for these guys."

"Midwest Carriers is a great company to work for. I have drove for Midwest just over a few years now. Pay is good, employee benefits are great and the trucking equipment is very well maintained. The owners are wonderful people that really care about their drivers. They treat you like family. I never seen a place treat people so well like Midwest Carriers does. I always enjoy going to work. Office staff, mechanics and the other drivers are all really friendly and fun to work with."
