"With alot of places, offices and companies will use bots to inflate their star ratings. As a local guide, who prides himself with having the integrity to inform the public about businesses or individuals I feel I need to give my honest review of the facts. I retained Attorney Dan Skarie, from this law office. He sells you a good story about how he is very "aggressive" at overturning OWI convictions. Mine, was a very complicated one due to my handicap (hearing impairment). Dan of course has a very hefty retainer which was paid in full. During the 2 year process of which we had many times to file motions (motions he promised then recinded to file) definitely hurt my case. There was another case involving a man who was also hearing impaired and had we introduced that motion to the courts we could have had a favorable outcome. Throughout this time I asked Dan numerous times to get the blood thrown out, to look at the blood. He never did, and of course in the final hour the State admitted a clerical error. Which had we found it, we could have had a viable reason to make the blood sample inadmissible. Another thing Dan never filed a motion was to ask where crucial evidence went that would have helped my case (notes passed between myself and the officer) that were never entered into evidence. When the times got tough Dan gave up and threw me under the bus, it was almost like he was in cahoots with FDL Co in the end. I am now unrepresented, and even though adjournments were stretched out, mostly due to Fond Du Lac County's dissary at the ADA and DA office, as well as Dan Skaries private life (which took precedence over my freedom) I am now left in a very bad spot. The very last thing I asked Dan to do was contest the blood or instruct me on how to do that without him no longer representing me he completely ignored me as he did throughout his time representing me. Will he reimburse any money? Absolutely not, should he? Yes. As a local guide and a compassionate professional I ask anyone to look elsewhere. Dan thinks about Dan and you are not important. I trusted him because I thought he had a good heart, but look elsewhere. *Edit* I have come to the conclusion, that after talking to Dan, and giving him compassion over things that happened in his life during the duration of my legal matters. That his oath is only to position himself monetarily and politically with the Judicial adversaries he is paid to discredit. From my heart, I wish there could have been a positive conclusion. Even with money not being an issue, Dan is a quitter. As a guide I did my best to try to reverse this experience but the saying holds true, that once a person fears adversity, they will attack the fleet of their own men. This is my experience.
