"I had such a positive experience with booking and planning for my move with Riley. In an unexpected turn of events, I ended up not needing their services and had to cancel my appointment prior to my scheduled moving date. The cancelation policy gave me the flexibility and reassurance I needed to do so. My deposit was returned to my account in the timeframe provided. The customer service was above and beyond! The company proved to stand behind their cancelation policies without any fine print exceptions or penalties. Riley made the process from beginning to end easy and stress-free!"
"The experience with this company was nothing short of traumatic. Many, many months after the move, we’re still taking inventory of damage to generational family and heirloom furniture. Damage too detailed to account for here…damage beyond meaningful restoration… the sort of damage that hurts to look at when the property’s history is remembered. The team members were rude, immature and arrogant…laughing at property as it spilled off the back of the truck, sneering at the suggestion that more property still had to be moved onto the truck (because truck was full) and telling us to vacuum pet hair off of items before transport. Among the most stressful points: a family pet escaped after one of the team members opened a room that we explicitly and emphatically told all to leave closed and secure while the move was in progress. I spent over an hour on the phone with the company a month prior to the move describing, room by room, the contents to be moved; this, apparently, is a process the company prides itself on to ensure efficient use of time, staff allocation and an appropriately sized truck. Nonetheless, for us, the first truck, after being hastily overstuffed, had to be followed by another truck to move the remainder of our reported belongings (adding to expenses and the overall excruciating experience with this company and its employees). Speed was prioritized over careful transport of property and yet the day just wouldn’t seem to end. Damage to the home moved from, and, moved to, was similarly varied (damage to new wood floors, bannisters, wall light fixtures, glass shelves (this item promptly repaired by company), etc.). This was a nightmarish experience. To make things worse, reminders of the experience (damage) surround us. I can imagine, to some, this review rings of exaggeration or overstatement, but the 12+ hour day with this company was truly dreadful. I’m confident I represent the average, reasonable person’s sensibilities and sensitivities in using these characterizations. Some damage in the course of a move is perhaps inevitable; however, the damage that resulted here cane by way of reckless, irresponsible indifference by people who don’t care. Never have I spent four figures for such a painful experience. Moving is usually stressful under the best of circumstances. Don’t take the chance of compounding the stress with an unprofessional, careless, amateur service provider. I’m hoping to spare others the awful experience I had. If you’re about to make a long distance, high volume, multi stop move, consider carefully your options. Consider how you expect your personal effects to be protected (in my case, prized furniture was wrapped in cellophane… furniture was cast onto piles of other items in back of truck, items intended for inside were left outside). Consider how you expect to be treated."
"The day had run late for all of us, but Matthew and David showed up ready to go. After everything they had been through, they could have easily had a bad attitude, but they were great. Friendly, professional, and incredibly strong I was happy we made the call. They represented your company in the best way."
"Our moving men were on time, carefully wrapped furniture, moved furniture expertly through doorways, kindly placed/moved furniture to where we wanted it, and just were genuinely interested in making our move go smoothly. They were both friendly & helpful. We definitely recommend Two Men and a Truck for your next move--big or small."
"The perfect combination of efficiency and care! We moved my mom from a large condo into an assisted living apartment. Our movers from Two Men and a Truck were fantastic. They handled her furniture (which had countless glass shelves!) tenderly. They took time to wrap everything carefully - at her new apartment they very patiently placed, and moved, her furniture to make it all fit. They were good spirited - and made the move fun .... really, lots of smiles and laughs. Great experience!"
