"First time in my career I was criticized for playing it safe. Whatever. Makes me hate trucking that much more. This company expects drivers to operate in dangerous blizzard conditions. They simply do not care as long as the freight is delivered even when travel is NOT advised. Main grocery customer on the local Green Bay area account is one of the worst I've ever experienced. This customer is quick to fabricate lies and file complaints against drivers they don't like. They forget we might return as customers dependent upon how we're treated as their lifeline of supply. Junk equipment. The local trailers are older than dirt. Potato King refuses to spend a penny more on preventative maintenance so you run the risk of doing repairs yourself or sitting on the side of the road for hours on end. Forget about having good tread on your tires. They run everything down to bare minimums. Detention pay is a joke! The main mechanic at the Green Bay terminal is one of the best I've ever seen in the industry, but they keep his hands tied. Driver comradarie is decent, but common to pick up trailers with unreported issues. No inward facing cameras is about the only good thing going for this penny pinching company. Automatic transmissions are the new norm and I'm happy to walk away."
