"Unethical, lazy, dishonest, unreliable and unprofessional. Around the middle of March of 2021 I contacted EZX Co to file my taxes. The receptionist told me that the next available appointment wasn’t until 2 months later on Tuesday, May 11th, which was 6 days before the 2021 filing deadline of Monday May 17th. She assured me that my taxes would be filed by the deadline. A few days before our scheduled meeting, she called me to confirm that I would still be available for the meeting on May 11th, and she assured me again that my taxes would be filed by the May 17th deadline. When I had the phone meeting with Emil Belvin on Tuesday May 11th he also assured me that he would file my taxes by the deadline. He said everything would be finalized and submitted in just a few days, “by Friday, but no later than Saturday or Sunday.” When I called him on Thursday May 13th he assured me again that he would get it done over the weekend. Emil Belvin did not file my taxes by the deadline. When I did not hear from Emil Belvin over that weekend, I emailed him early in the morning on Monday the 17th to ask if he had submitted my tax forms. Around noon he replied to my email and informed me that he would file an extension instead. This was the beginning of several weeks of him simply refusing to do what he told me he’d do. In the end, Emil Belvin NEVER submitted my tax forms. On Tuesday May 18th he said he was done with 80% of my tax preparation and only needed an additional 30 or 45 minutes to complete the work. However, for some unknown reason he never “found” the additional 30 minutes to complete and submit my tax forms, though he kept saying that he would. Finally, after more than two months, when it became clear to me that he had absolutely no intention of filing them, I had no choice but to find another tax preparer in July. Avoid EZX Co!"
