"Tl;dr - Don’t go here unless its the last day before your taxes are due AND no one else is available. This place is a small office on the second floor of a shared space building. We made an appointment here to meet with Katie Phan one Saturday around 11 AM. We arrived about 15 minutes early, and met with a white gentleman who had to call Katie to let her know we arrived. Katie was not in the office yet, and arrived about 10 minutes after the scheduled appointment appearing tired and dehydrated. She quickly scrambles to get setup at her desk. We presented our documents to her, and as she begins to prep our taxes, she jokingly asks why we have so many W2’s. We clearly told her our situation on the phone prior to the appointment when we scheduled her. She didn’t have an issue at the time. We asked a question if we should file jointly this year or separate. She answered separate but couldn't explain why. Our impression is because she doesn't want to do more work filing us together. As she continues through our documents, she receives a phone call from her child and takes it on speaker phone. Shortly after, other friends/customers walk in and she discusses with them how she JUST woke up, didn’t want to get out of bed, and didn’t even have enough time to feed her child before she abruptly left them at home alone. Again, she then complains about why we have so many documents. If you have a simple W2, school and asset documents, she will charge her standard rate of $100. If you have multiple W2’s (10-20 of them) and a few school documents, she will charge $300. Overall, we were there for about 1.5 - 2 hours. Katie complained about the amount of work she had to do, and still had the audacity to charge her rates. She does speak English with a subtle accent and Vietnamese. I guess one benefit she offers is the option for electronic deposits, however, I don't recommend going to her services."
