"If I could give less than one star, I would. My experience with Jerry has been nothing short of a financial nightmare, and I want to share my cautionary tale to help others avoid a similar ordeal. Like many other one-star reviewers, I implore you to think twice before considering Jerry as your accountant, especially if you run a small business. I made the mistake of hiring him in a moment of urgency, and it's a decision I deeply regret. First things first, communication with Jerry is an issue. He primarily caters to a Korean clientele, and this becomes evident when trying to discuss tax matters in English. If you're seeking an accountant who can break down the intricacies of taxation step-by-step in a clear and understandable manner, Jerry is not the person for you. The issue that truly soured my experience was his complete lack of transparency when it came to the cost of his services. During our initial meeting, he provided a quote and assured me that it covered the cost of filing my taxes. We agreed on this amount, and I promptly paid it. Fast forward two months when I returned to receive my completed tax filing. To my shock, Jerry informed me that my tax situation was more complex than initially anticipated and that he needed an additional $500. I am a small business owner, $500 is no small deal during this economic climate. This increase in cost was never communicated to me, and had I known about it in advance, I would have never hired him in the first place. When I questioned Jerry about the sudden and unexplained price hike, his response was nothing short of infuriating. He callously stated, "Every accounting is like this, no one knows how much you have to pay in the beginning." I reached out to five other accounting firms after this incident, and all of them denied such unethical practices. To make matters worse, since I declined his dubious offer and chose not to proceed with his filing service, Jerry's firm has been harassing me relentlessly through calls, text messages, and emails. I am currently in the process of taking legal action against his firm to resolve this issue. My advice to anyone considering Jerry as their CPA is simple: do your research, ask for clear, upfront quotes, and proceed with extreme caution. I hope sharing this review will help others avoid the same mistake I made."

"Jerry is a horrible CPA, save yourself from repeating the same mistake. I was referred to Jerry by a friend; he promised he would be able to file our taxes within a week (before the deadline), and after we paid him our fee, he disappeared. There were days where we tried to reach him via email, but only in return of absolute silence. He ended up filing an extension for us, which was fine, and gave us the estimate of tax return of 50k. 6 months later we got a letter from IRS that our tax return was indeed 12k, and when we tried to reach Jerry, again, radio silence. After 3 email attempts, and a legal lawsuit threat, he finally got back to us and said it was indeed his mistake, that he forgot to take the NY city tax under account. Since the beginning we asked Jerry if he knew about NY state tax law, he said he did. And somehow he made the crucial mistake of giving us a 38k difference tax return estimate. Working with Jerry was ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. He is non-communicative, unprofessional and clearly did not know anything about tax laws. Do not work with him, he is an absolute nightmare."

"Never trust this CPA. They don't know what they are doing. Recommended and assured me to a wrong filing category maximizing the tax return illegaly. It sounds they are doing the same thing to many of their other customers. I'm kinda certain that they will be caught and accused by IRS someday. If you don't want to jeopardize your legal status in US, stay away from them."
