He's so thorough and patient from start to finish. He asks the right questions and makes sure he doesn't forget anything. You'll notice how organized he is. "Revising my review to one star. For years we went here, spending $500 per year to have them do our taxes. This year, I wanted to do our taxes myself and have Sandy review them. The website stuck me down a one-way tunnel that only allowed me to upload files for Sandy to do them, and wouldn't let me out. I called Sandy and asked her to fix this and she said she would get back to me. Then she quit working for the season. Now it's been over a month. My taxes are held hostage. Every time I try to talk to someone at this location or the Simi Valley location that for some reason they shuffled me off to, they say they'll call me back and then they don't. Run. Run as fast as you can. I'm taking my $500 to whichever competitor these guys hate the most. Original review is now no longer valid: We use HR Block every year. We have complicated taxes so it costs us almost $500, but it's worth it for the expertise and peace of mind."

"We have been using HR Block for several years. It is easy to use and I have had 4 different preparers and have found them helpful and knowable. This year I had to go to a new office, because mine had closed. I was originally given a preparer named Claudia, who made an appointment with me and didn't show up, so I left my papers. When I got an appointment to come in, it was with a different person, so I was pleased. When I was in with my new person, another client came in for Claudia, and she wasn't there and wasn't expected for 2 more hours. I was extremely pleased that I did not have Claudia, or this would have been a very different review."
