"Facing a last-minute scramble with H&R Block, after my assigned agent pulled a no-show no-call for my appointment and subsequent confusion, turned my tax preparation into an unforeseen ordeal. 1. Missed Appointment: My initial disappointment was when my tax preparer was absent for our scheduled meeting on Thursday. No prior notification was given, and this mishap already set a tone of unreliability. I had arranged my schedule specifically to accommodate this appointment, understanding the importance of filing taxes on time. 2. Last-Minute Communication: The situation escalated when I received an urgent call on Sunday afternoon, mere hours before the tax due date. The new agent assigned to my file seemed to have just received my documents and expressed confusion over the paperwork. Communication was difficult due to language barriers, adding to the stress of the situation. 3. Inconvenient Scheduling: Being informed at the eleventh hour that I needed to attend an in-person meeting that same day was highly inconvenient. My weekend plans required me to be out of town, a fact that would’ve been non-problematic had my original Thursday appointment occurred as planned. 4. Confusion Over Standard Procedures: As an independent contractor, I provided all necessary documents, including a 1099 form and detailed expense records. Despite this, my agent seemed unfamiliar with the standard tax requirements for someone in my line of work, repeatedly mentioning missing forms irrelevant to my tax situation, such as W-2s and a “list of commissions” — none of which apply to independent delivery drivers. This sequence of events resulted in unnecessary stress and disruption to my personal and work schedule. It’s crucial for a reputable company to uphold a sense of reliability, especially in matters as important as tax preparation, and I’ve felt failed by them entirely."

"Absolutely terrible experience, and caution ANYONE wanting to use this location. My advice: RUN. My poor experienced started with the location calling me to tell me my rep took the day off and I had to be reassigned. I was spoken to rather rudely. I accommodated. I showed up, 3 mins late and checked in. I waited 25 mins. I was assigned to Kaushik Sarkar. I explained my situation, and he explained my options. I chose the option to get my taxes completed, even if I had to do them over and he seemed inconvenienced that it was not a simple return. He shared he didn't have time, had too many clients, etc. I even disclosed when I made the appointment that I needed to file an amended return. He was rude, dismissive, and completely brushed me off. I don't know what kind of scam franchised location this is, but I suggest to stay away. It's a money pit."
