I have tried reaching out to him & still haven’t had a response. A good friend recommended him saying he was so good but here I am still not being filed! What crook! Take your money elsewhere and time."

"I have done tax with Jose for a few years. Jose charges me $750 for both individual and S cooperation tax in 2019. Jose filed tax 2020, 2021, 2022 for me again in May 2023. Since Jose did tax for me before I did not ask him price, at the end Jose gave me a receipt of $4400 for filing my tax of 2020, 2021, 2022. I was shocked. Jose said that he already gave me 50% discount otherwise I need to pay him $9000 to complete my s corporation and individual tax for those 3 years. It takes Jose 7 hours to complete my tax so it means that Jose charges me $628/hour. I contacted different CPA and the price they gave me is $1450 - $2000 for my 3 years tax. I told Jose that I did not accept that price and would file my tax with another CPA. Then Jose immediately told me that he already mailed my tax file ( It means that I could not able to file my tax with another CPA) As Jose’s explanation that his tax application can not file late tax electronically so he would send my tax return file 2019 including tax payment by mail. Until May 2023, by accident I found out that IRS and Franchise tax still have not received my tax file of 2019 but already withdrew tax payment in my account. I requested Jose to provide me receipt of the mail that he sent since IRS and Franchise charges me $2,500 for late fee of tax filing. Jose still have not provided me any receipt for the 3 months passed from May 2023. I am really disappointed of Jose’s irresponsibility of his work. You should be careful to prepare tax here: price, not file tax electronically and the later result of his work"
