"I called this location because I needed help after making a major error with the return I prepared through H&R Block’s online tax preparation software. I’d already been trying to solve this issue for hours and I’d been hung up on by the main H&R Block customer service line because their call volume was too high, and the IRS left me on hold for over an hour and then sent me to a robot who also eventually hung up on me. Needless to say, I was feeling pretty defeated when I called the H&R Block at Channel Islands and I was prepared for the fact that I’d probably have to make an appointment and pay someone smarter than me to fix my taxes. However, the woman who answered the phone at this location (I desperately wish I had gotten her name because she deserves to be recognized!) was SO understanding and she and helped me fix my return over the phone. Out of all of those people I talked to, she was the only one who listened to me and actually tried to help me. And let’s be real, it’s tax season — I’m sure she was super busy and the last thing she felt like doing was dealing with a frantic idiot who messed up her taxes. But she did it, and she was nice to me when I really needed someone to be nice to me. Though I will never prep my taxes online through H&R Block again, I’m definitely taking my business to this location next year. Kindness matters and her kindness saved my day! Thank you!"
