"The owner's behavior was exceptionally rude. They seem to be facing some operational challenges, resulting in extremely lengthy wait times. Additionally, their pricing is on the high side. We had to retrieve our artwork as we couldn't obtain a clear completion date from them. Perhaps it's worth considering their services next year, as they mentioned having a backlog of 200 frames (in their own words)."
"I’m not usually one to write reviews, but this one was emphatically requested by the business, so here we are. Bottom line: unprofessional, dismissive and aggressive. Work was delivered 4 months after drop-off: two months late, without a hint of an apology or understanding of client frustration at the delay. DO NOT COME HERE. The quality of their framing is ok, although pricing seems high to me but let’s just call that Bay Area prices and move on. The people working at the store seemed nice and helpful when I dropped my art off for framing initially, but later on and during pick-up, totally different story. If you care at all about timing or being treated nicely as a customer, definitely stay clear. I was originally given a due date in writing 2 months after the date I dropped my art off: one lithograph for matting, and framing with a glass, one canvas painting for stretching and framing . They explained that normally this would take 2-3 weeks but they were having some issues with the building and were behind schedule, so they estimated it would take 2 months. Perfectly understandable. Two months go by and I have not heard from them. So I call them some 3 days after the due date I was given. They seemed annoyed that I had called to request an update and they said that it would probably take one more month and that they would call when it was ready. Not quite the answer, tone, or treatment I was expecting, but I let it go. Another 40 days go by without a word from the shop, so I give them another ring. They again mention being behind schedule but apparently my stuff is scheduled to be assembled this week and I am told it most likely will be ready by Friday. Of course, no word from them the entire week, so on Sunday I call once more. This time, they are noticeably annoyed that I’m calling for updates, and especially annoyed that I point out their own missed deadlines. I am told something along the lines of “it’s ready when it’s ready and we’ll call you” but can’t get anything definitive from them this time. They provide the option to come pick one of the pieces up, but the second one is not ready yet, so I decide to wait. At this point I’m noticeably upset, although it goes without saying that I was always correct and polite in my communications. I finally get a call last Friday that my stuff is ready for pickup. This is 16 weeks after I dropped my art off, and just shy off 2 months after the original due date. I go by the store to pick up my pieces the following day. Very standard interaction: I see the pieces, pay off any remaining balance and get ready to go. At the last minute I decide to calmly just bring up how I’m upset about how long this took, the lack of communication through the process, and how I wish things would have gone. My comments are met with a bunch of excuses, explanations about how I agreed to work with them and that this is how this line of work is, and how I’m wasting their time for even bringing this up. An exchange that I tried my best to keep polite and civil ends with shouts from the guy to GET OUT of their store. I’m just shocked that ANY of this even happened and that they are SO out of touch with their customers. A simple apology and acknowledgement that I was being heard would have sufficed. Instead, they aggressively made sure to tell me how I was in the wrong for expecting them to meet their own deadlines and communicate delays."

"Best picture framer I have ever dealt with. (My dad was an artist, so I have dealt with many) An extensive collection of framing materials, far better than larger shops, and outstanding workmanship. But what I was most grateful for was assistance in selecting the framing material...really enhanced the beauty of the work. Six pieces in all thus far, and I will be back. And the pricing is excellent. Wish I could add a sixth star to the rating!"
