It was more expensive AND not a smooth as working with Brenda. For 2022 tax year, I went back to Brenda who quickly did my taxes and walked me through it. I love H&R block's website and options for working with Tax Advisors. I'm a happy customer!"

"Absolutely my worst ever experience of 'filing' tax returns. We worked with two different tax specialists and both of them were atrocious with their communication and follow through. We had several years of pending tax returns and really needed the help to get everything sorted. I had come in through a referral and approached them when it wasn't peak tax season. I had moderate expectations that everything would get resolved here. Instead we got poor communication, incomplete work and were just left hanging for months / years. And NO, let's not blame all delays on the pandemic, we eventually went to another HR Block in San Leandro and managed to get everything done in 2 sittings and a couple emails. I would give 0 or negative stars if that were possible."

"A little bit of a pain using their automated appointment system then waiting over 7 minutes for a live operator w/o an answer and a 1/2 confirmation then learn on day of it wasn't confirmed or recorded. On the positive: they got me in fairly fast over the phone when I communicated with a LIVE PERSON. Once there it was quick to meet a tax person who helped and got done fairly quickly and the end price was fairly reasonable..though a bit high but finding I get faster and more refunds with a paid service than a free one even if it's fairly simple"
