"Contacted Hometown Plumbing for some required water heater related plumbing repairs needed per escrow after finding them on Google. They sent out a plumber named Matthew. He arrived later then expected but called and informed me which was appreciated. He was polite and was willing to find the best way to complete the repairs without going over my planned budget. Stayed late and did the needed repairs. The next day we noticed the pilot was not lit and we had no hot water so we had to call Hometown again and they sent another guy over quickly to fix it. Overall a decent experience in regards to the plumbing. While Matthew was there working he took an interest in the yard sale I was having to prepare for our move. He even offered to sale a few things for me stating he did that on the side, which I thought was nice given we were moving and could use the help. When he left for the day I took him up on his offer and he took several items from my house with the promise to sell them and send me some of the money. After several attempts to contact him via phone and text he responded that he had sold some of the items and kept some for himself but never sent me any of the money. Just a heads up for anyone else who runs into this situation with him. I learned my lesson, just another reminder to not trust people at their word."
