"While swapping the motor for my Pentair Whisperflow pump, I had a heck of time getting the old impeller off: it crossed my mind to just hack it to pieces until I could get to the central shaft and then loosen that part off the old motor shaft. This was on a Sunday and no other local pool supply stores were open: called and the woman working was friendly and helpful. I decided to bring the old motor in and she patiently let me compare the four impellers they had in stock against the one stuck on my old motor's shaft. Found one that looked exactly like the old one -- paid probably twice what I'd pay online elsewhere - but again, it's a Sunday and I needed it _that day_ if I broke the old one. Also I don't mind supporting a local business. Three hours later I was able to finally get the old impeller off and decided to put the new one on with a new shaft seal and o-ring (purchased elsewhere already): worked just as well as the old one and gives me peace of mind that newer part is now in place and I'm set for several more years with the new motor. I personally recommend Leslie's and will go back if I need more pool supplies."

"Unfortunately, I have been going to this store for a number of years. During that time I have my experience has been hit and miss. I have witnessed very strong customer service skills until two years ago when the management changed. The two men that now provide service are generally unfriendly, and behave as if they are doing you a favor by letting you in the store. I have witnessed this attitude towards other customers. This past week I needed some supplies and a replacement part. I entered the store at 09:53 and was immediately told that they were closed. I asked the man behind the counter why the door was opened. He said he forgot to lock it. The tone and tenor of his behavior spoke volumes of the attitude toward a long time customer. I said that I would not be back. Less than a block away is another pool supply who gladly welcome me and provided the service any customer deserves."
